New Delhi: The Supreme Court of India in an unprecedented rebuke, said that no cases should be assigned to the bench of Justice CS Karnan of Madras High Court.

The decision of the Apex court has come after Justice Karnan resisted and defied his transfer to the Calcutta High Court. The order was passed by the panel of judges headed by Chief Justice of India(CJI) T S Thakur.

Justice Karnan has alleged discrimination because he belonged to the minority section of the society. He had even asked the CJI Thakur not to interfere with his jurisdiction.
