Mahashivratri: Devotees take holy dip in Ganga; First 'Shahi Snan' in Haridwar Kumbh

New Delhi: The first Shahi Snan (Shahi Snan) of Mahakumbh is in Haridwar on Thursday on the occasion of Mahashivratri. In such a situation today, Juna Akhada, Awaan Akhada, Agni Akhada and Kinnar Akhada are reaching to take holy dip at Har Ki Pauri Brahmakund at around 11 am.

Shahi Snan on the day of Mahashivratri:

After this, Niranjani Akhada and Anand Akhada will take a bath at Har Ki Pauri Brahmakund at about 1 pm. After this, Mahanirvani Akhada and Atal Akhada will take bath at Har Ki Pauri Brahmakund at around 4 pm.

Naga-sadhus will also have a royal bath(Shahi Snan). In view of this, common devotees will be allowed to bathe till 7 am. After 7 o'clock the Har Ki Pauri area will be evacuated, after which the ghats will be cleaned. A large number of devotees are reaching Har ki Pauri for the royal bath before Kumbh.

A 150-bed hospital has been set up at Pavandham Bhupatwala for devotees coming to Haridwar Kumbh. Apart from this, a media center equipped with state-of-the-art facilities has been built in Chanditapu Niladhara for coverage in the country and abroad.

Meladhikari (Medical and Health) Dr. Arjun Singh Sengar told the Chief Minister that besides 38 doctors, 90 staff nurses, paramedical staff have also been deployed in the hospital. The Chief Minister had also inquired about the arrangements for the stay of doctors.

Extra Precautions amid corona:

In view of the risk of corona virus infection, some special rules have been made for the devotees coming to the Kumbh Mela. Interested devotees will have to upload their RT-PCR report online related to the corona investigation. In this sequence, devotees should also ensure that this report should not be older than 72 hours. Based on this report, an e-pass will be issued for the devotees to visit the fair premises.
