Coronavirus: India reports 15,388 new COVID Cases; 77 deaths in last 24 Hours

New Delhi: More than 15,000 new cases of corona have been reported in the last 24 hours in the country, 15,388 new cases of corona virus were reported in India on Monday, after which the total number of positive cases has now increased to 11,244,786.

Increase in Corona Cases:

The number of new cases of Corona is 3,311 less than the case registered a day earlier. In the case of death due to infection, 77 people died from Corona in the last 24 hours. With these figures, the total number of deaths has now increased to 1,57,930.

There has also been an increase in the number of active cases in the country. The total number of active cases has now increased to 1,87,462. After six days the number of active cases has decreased. A total of 1,08,99,394 people have recovered and gone home from Corona so far.

Corona outbreak in Maharashtra:

At the same time, in the last few weeks, at least 6 states have seen the highest growing cases of corona. The central government has identified Maharashtra, Kerala, Punjab, Karnataka, Gujarat and Tamil Nadu among the 6 states that have seen a surge in the number of new cases of corona in recent weeks. These 6 states are responsible for 86.25 percent increase in the number of daily cases. While Maharashtra is responsible for 59.90 percent of the total new cases reported on Monday, Kerala is responsible for 11.29 percent.

Corona vaccination of 2.26 crore people has been done under the nationwide vaccination campaign started from January 16. A total of 2,26,85,598 vaccine doses have been given in the country so far in the 52 days of vaccination program.
