Kolkata Gangrape Case Medical Report Reveals Brutal Assault Bite Marks and Nail Scratches Exposed

Kolkata Gangrape Case: A horrifying case of gangrape has come to light at a law college in South Kolkata, where a 24-year-old female student was allegedly sexually assaulted by a former student and two senior students. According to the police, medical examination has confirmed not only forcible rape but also physical torture, including bite marks and scratches made with nails on the victim’s body.

Assault After Refusing Marriage Proposal

The police stated that the incident took place on June 25 in the evening, inside a guard’s room near the student union office within the college campus. The prime accused, a former student, had allegedly proposed marriage to the victim, which she declined. Enraged, he forcibly dragged her into the room and raped her, while the other two accused stood guard outside.

Three Hours of Brutality

In her statement to the police, the victim revealed that the ordeal lasted from around 7:30 PM to 10:30 PM. Not only was she raped, but the accused also recorded the assault on video and threatened to make it viral. The victim was further warned of severe consequences if she dared to speak to anyone about the incident.

All Three Accused Arrested

The police have arrested all three accused, and they have been remanded to four days of police custody. The forensic team has sealed the crime scene, and the mobile phones of the accused have been confiscated. Authorities are now investigating whether the video has been shared or distributed elsewhere.

Prime Accused’s Political Links

Reports suggest that the main accused is a former student of the college and had briefly worked there as a temporary staff member. His social media profile claims he is a former president of the Trinamool Congress Chhatra Parishad (TMCP) and an office-bearer in its South Kolkata unit. Photos circulating on social media show him posing with leaders from the ruling party. However, the Trinamool Congress has denied any connection with the accused and has called for strict action.

Gangrape Charges for All Three

Chief Public Prosecutor Saurin Ghoshal stated that as per Supreme Court guidelines, in such cases, not only the person who commits the rape but also those who assist or enable it are equally liable. Accordingly, all three have been booked under charges of gangrape.

This incident has once again raised serious questions about campus safety, misuse of political associations, and delayed justice for survivors. As investigations continue, there is growing public demand for swift and strict punishment for the perpetrators.
