Bihar Horror Crime Purnia Village A Family Burned Alive by Superstition Driven Mob
Bihar Horror Crime: A family of five brutally murdered and their bodies burned to ashes — this is not a scene from a horror film, but a gruesome reality. What makes it even more terrifying is that an entire village is allegedly involved in this massacre. The chilling incident took place in Tetagama village of Purnia district, Bihar, where five members of the same family were killed in the name of witchcraft, superstition, and black magic. Not only were they murdered, but their bodies were also set on fire in an attempt to erase all evidence.
This incident raises serious questions about law and order, but even more disturbingly, it exposes the dark face of a society that, even in the 21st century, continues to burn humanity alive in the fire of blind faith.
The Whole Village Became ‘Killers’
The victims — Babulal Oraon, his wife Sita Devi, his mother Mo Kato, daughter-in-law Rani Devi, and son Manjeet Kumar — are no longer alive. Who killed them? And why? The shocking answer:
“The entire village was involved.”
According to the family’s relatives, some villagers accused them of practicing black magic and being under the influence of evil spirits. Acting like a self-appointed court, the villagers held an informal panchayat, passed judgment, and executed the family. As per police statements, even members of the same Oraon caste were complicit in the killings due to deep-rooted superstitions.
It is also being reported that such conflicts rooted in blind faith have long plagued the village.
The Bodies Were Burned – The Truth Reduced to Ashes
Perhaps the most horrific part of the story is that after the murders, the bodies were burned to destroy evidence. The crime came to light when a relative of the victims alerted the police. A dog squad and forensic team (FSL) were deployed, and human remains from four bodies were recovered from different parts of the village. The fifth body is still missing.
SP Sweety Sahrawat visited the crime scene herself and confirmed that three suspects have been detained, and the entire village is under investigation.
A Silent Village — A Wall of Obstruction
The atmosphere in the village is eerily silent, and no one is ready to speak. It’s as if the entire village is gripped by fear or guilt. Police sources say that some villagers are still trying to protect the others involved in the conspiracy.
The findings so far are deeply disturbing. Reportedly, a female occultist holds considerable influence in the village. She allegedly claimed that Babulal’s family was summoning evil spirits, causing diseases and deaths in the village. Based on her claims, the village decided to carry out a massacre in the name of “purification.”
Will Justice Be Served or Will It Be Buried in Silence?
While Purnia police speak of special investigation teams and arrests, the central question remains:
When an entire village conspires to murder, will there be any witnesses left?
Can justice rise from the ashes of the evidence?
This case is not just a test for Bihar Police, but also for human rights organizations and the nation as a whole. Will the law act even after five innocent lives were lost, or will the barbaric dance of superstition escape unpunished once again?
Only time will answer this. But for now, Tetagama village stands as a national stain, a place where humanity was burned alive in the name of occult rituals and blind belief.
