Yami Gautam and Jacqueline Join the Cast of Horror-Comedy 'Bhoot Police'

The star cast of the ‘Bhoot Police’ has been announced. Actors Jacqueline Fernandez and Yami Gautam have joined the cast of Pavan Kirpalani’s horror-comedy Bhoot Police. The movie also stars Saif Ali Khan and Arjun Kapoor.

Both are sharing screen space for the first time. Saif and Arjun Kapoor will play the role of Ghost Hunters in director Pawan Kripalani’s film Bhoot Police. Shooting of the film will begin by the end of this year.

Bhoot Police:

The film is directed by Ramesh Taurani and Akanksha Puri. Saif has previously done the zombie horror comedy Go Goa Gone, which he produced and also played a character. At the same time, this will be Arjun’s first horror film. Arjun, working for the first time with Saif.

Excited about introducing the female cast of the film, Kirpalani said in a statement, “I am looking forward to working with Jacqueline and Yami. This will be my first collaboration with the entire cast. We need someone to add the craziness to this fun-filled entertainer and both of them will definitely add this magic to the script.”

The genre of horror comedy is not new in Bollywood. However, filmmakers have been paying more attention to this in the last few years. The success of Stree in 2018 attracted filmmakers more towards this. In 2007, Priyadarshan’s film Bhool Bhulaiya revived the genre in a way.

Bhoot Police will be shot in Dharamsala, Dalhousie and Palampur. The cast is expected to start shooting by the end of this year.
