Now a film on 'Super 30' | Hrithik Roshan to play founder Anand Kumar

Mumbai: After all 30 students of Bihar's Super 30 cracked the JEE Advanced 2017, there is yet another delightful news for the folks as actor Hrithik Roshan is going to portray the character of Super 30 founder Anand Kumar in his biopic.

Film producer Preeti Sinha stated, "The script of the film is based on Anand Kumar and his Super 30 students. We will accordingly choose the female lead."

She added, "Hrithik has given his nod to play the lead role. He is on a family vacation and we hope to start shooting for the biopic soon."

The film will be directorial venture of Vikas Bahl who has earlier helmed critically acclaimed movies like Queen, Udta Punjab, Lootera and NH 10.

About Super 30

  • Anand Kumar started the ‘Super 30’ coaching centre in 2002 under his Ramanujam Institute of Mathematics, which selects 30 meritorious candidates each year from economically disadvantaged sections of society and trains them free of cost for admission to the prestigious IITs.
  • Children of taxi drivers, masons, farmers, and daily wagers are among the successful candidates and are mostly from schools affiliated to the Bihar School Examination Board.
  • Students from poor families who get into ‘Super 30’ have to undergo 16-hour daily study routine for a year. Coaching, food and accommodation are free for these students.
  • So far, 396 students from Super 30 have made it to IITs.
