NCW asks Salman Khan for apology on rape remark

Mumbai: National Commission for Women (NCW) on Tuesday asked Bollywood superstar Salman Khan to apologize regarding his controversial rape remark, which he made during a media interaction. NCW has given him a time period of seven days for the apology.

During an interview with an entertainment website, Salman was asked about his experience of playing the role of a wrestler in his upcoming flick ‘Sultan’ and the actor said that he felt like a ‘Raped woman’, whenever he walked out of the ring after shoot.

National Commission for Women (NCW) Chairperson Lalitha Kumaramangalam said-

  • Just because he is Salman Khan does not mean he will make such a statement. This is sad.

‘Sultan’ actor, however, has been criticized heavily on social media.
