HBD Mouni Roy: From TV to big screen this is how she rose to heights!
Mouni desired to become Journalist, so she went to Delhi and took admission at Jamia Millia Islamia in the mass communication department. But in the midway of her course she left for Mumbai to make her career in Bollywood Industry and since then she never returned to Delhi, to complete her education.
Lucknow: Famous TV actress Mouni Roy has turned 34 this year. She was born in Cooch Behar, West Bengal. Her father Anil Roy is an office superintendent of the Zilla Parishad of Cooch Behar and a role model for his daughter, Mouni. Her mother Mukti Roy is a theater artist.

Actress and model, Mouni started her career in the year 2007 as 'Krishna Tulsi' on Ekta Kapoor's show 'Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi'. The popular sitcom helped her gain recognition in the industry.

Then she essayed the role of 'Sati' in 'Devon Ke Dev...Mahadev' and 'Shivanya' in 'Naagin 1, 2', which ended up earning her fame in the industry.

After making a big name in the TV industry she has made Bollywood debut opposite to Akshay Kumar in 'Gold'. She will be seen in upcoming films: 'Made In China', 'Mogul: The Gulshan Kumar Story' and 'Brahmastra'.
