Mumbai: The curiosity of watching an unusual pairing of 51-year-old Shah Rukh Khan and 23-year-old Alia Bhatt was clearly observed among moviegoers and as a result, Dear Zindagi collected Rs 8.75cr on its release day on Friday.
Film was released on a total of 1200 screens across India and another 600 screens overseas.
Multiplex owners said that nearly 45 per cent occupancy was seen in the morning shows.
