CBSE (PC- Social Media)
The CBSE Board Exams 2026 will start from February 17 at 10:30 AM, and students must reach their exam centres before 10:00 AM. Over 46 lakh students in India and 26 countries will appear. CBSE has warned about traffic delays due to major events and asked everyone to leave home early and plan travel properly. Entry after 10:00 AM will not be allowed.
Why CBSE Issued This Advisory
The Central Board of Secondary Education released this advisory to avoid last-minute panic. During the exam period, many national and international events are scheduled. Because of that, traffic diversions and heavy congestion may happen in several cities.
CBSE clearly said students should not take chances. Even a small delay can cost an entire year. Reaching early is not just advice, it is necessary.
Exam Timing And Entry Rules
The exams for Class 10 and Class 12 will begin at 10:30 AM. But entry inside the centre will close at 10:00 AM sharp. This rule is strict.
Students should try to reach by 9:30 AM. That gives enough time to settle down. It also reduces stress. A calm mind writes better answers, everyone knows that.
46 Lakh Students, 26 Countries
This year more than 46 lakh students are appearing. That number is huge. Exams will be held across India and also in 26 countries abroad. Managing such a large exam needs planning from both CBSE and families.
Schools have been told to guide parents and students properly. Even visiting the exam centre once before the exam day is advised. It helps avoid confusion later.
Major Changes In CBSE Exams 2026
CBSE has introduced important reforms this year. One big step is the second board examination for Class 10. This gives students another chance to improve scores.
Another major change is On-Screen Marking for Class 12. This digital system will make evaluation faster and more transparent. It reduces manual errors too.
Science and Social Science question papers in Class 10 will also see division changes. The aim is clearer structure and better assessment.
What Officials Said
During a live webcast, CBSE explained the full exam process. Dr Sanyam Bhardwaj spoke about evaluation methods and responsibilities of parents.
He said exams test readiness and decision-making. He stressed that everyone must understand rules and SOPs clearly. The focus this year is on smart exams and smarter evaluation.
Parents Also Have A Role
CBSE has asked parents to stay alert. They should check admit cards carefully. Travel time should be calculated keeping weather and traffic in mind.
Students often panic. Parents must keep the environment positive at home. Good sleep before exam day is more important than late-night revision.
Plan Smart, Stay Calm
Board exams are important, yes. But panic never helps. Leave early. Carry required documents. Follow dress code if any. Listen to centre instructions carefully.
These small steps can make exam days smooth. Missing entry time by even five minutes can create unnecessary heartbreak.
CBSE Board Exams 2026 are not just about marks. They are about discipline and preparation too. If students follow the advisory properly, everything will go fine. A little planning today saves a lot of regret tomorrow.
