Police have registered a case against a businesswoman and six others in Gujarat for allegedly beating a 21-year-old Dalit man when he asked for his salary and forcing him to put her sandals in his mouth and also forced him to apologize.

The incident happened in Gujarat’s Morbi town.

An official said that the youth previously worked in the woman's company for about 15 days, but when he demanded salary, he was allegedly forced to apologize by picking up the woman's sandal with his mouth.

Deputy Superintendent of Police (SC-ST Cell) Pratipalsingh Jala said that the victim Nilesh Dalsania has lodged a complaint, on the basis of which 'A' Division Police of Morbi city has arrested the accused woman Vibhuti Patel alias Raniba and her brother Om Patel and manager.

Vibhuti Patel is the owner of Raniba Industries Private Limited, whose office is in a commercial complex at Ravapar intersection. The FIR states that in early October, Vibhuti hired Dalsania to sell tiles at a monthly salary of Rs 12,000.

According to the FIR, on October 18, she suddenly fired Dalsania from his job. When Dalsania asked for his salary in return for working in the company for 15 days, Patel did not give any clear answer to it and also stopped answering his phone calls.

The FIR alleges that Vibhuti Patel also slapped him and dragged him on the floor of the commercial premises. It said that the accused, Parikshit Patel, Om Patel and six-seven other unidentified people, hit him with a belt and kicked and punched him.

It has been alleged in the FIR that when Dalsania asked for his salary, she forced him to lift her sandal with his mouth and apologize. The woman is accused of threatening to kill him if he was seen again in the Ravapar intersection area.
