Jharkhand police ties girl with rope, violates SC ruling

Alwar: In a gross violation of Supreme Court’s order a 23-year-old girl was tied with a rope after arrest in a dowry harassment case by the Jharkhand police.

The girl was seen in that posture at Alwar railway station and later taken to Jharkhand in a train on Tuesday. Some passengers and newsmen at the railway station captured this inhuman side of police on their lens.

It t Supreme Court has held handcuffing and tying with ropes as violation of human rights.

The police was unavailable for comments.
