New Delhi: YouTube has suspended US President Donald Trump's channel for at least a week, and is expected to be suspended further. The company said on Tuesday evening that the platform's policies had been violated by Trump's channel.

YouTube suspends Trump's account:

A video was recently posted on Trump's channel, sparking violence. YouTube told CNN and said that that video has now been removed. However, YouTube did not provide further details on the decision taken on Trump and it is stated that after a week's time is over, further decisions will be reconsidered.

Explain that YouTube was the only major social media platform that did not suspend Trump. Earlier, Facebook suspended Trump's account indefinitely, while Twitter has banned Trump completely.

Channel suspended to avoid violence:

After careful review and in light of concerns about the ongoing potential for violence. We removed new content uploaded to the Donald J. Trump Channel and our policies to incite violence. A YouTube spokesperson said in a statement Action is continuing to violate. As a result, we have now stopped uploading new videos or live streams on the channel for at least seven days, which can be extended.

Earlier, Twitter had also suspended the Twitter account of US President Donald Trump and clarified that the account was permanently closed due to the risk of inciting violence. Also announced that if Twitter rules are violated then further action will be taken. Not only this, Trump’s Facebook and Instagram accounts were closed after Twitter.
