WHO confirms Six African countries to establish mRNA vaccine production

New Delhi: World Health Organization Director General Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus announced on Thursday that Egypt, Kenya, Nigeria, Senegal, South Africa (South Africa) and Tunisia will start production of mRNA vaccine. This announcement was made in a ceremony hosted by the European Council, France, South Africa. French President Emmanuel Macron, South African President Cyril Ramaphosa and European Council President Charles Michel were also present during this.

Corona outbreak:

Recently, South Africa's vaccine manufacturing institutions have been reviewed by WHO Director General Tedros Adhanam Ghebreyesus and Chief Scientist Soumya Swaminathan. During this, Swaminathan expressed concern about the slow rate of corona vaccination in Africa and said that we have to keep in mind that 85 percent of the population of African countries has still not received a single dose of corona vaccine and this is the reason for the spread of new variants of corona. may be proved responsible.

She further said, 'We have all seen the origin of the corona virus and its many mutations i.e. changing form ... so we are well aware that the danger is not over but new variants are yet to come.'

Swaminathan also said that do not stop being cautious by relying on the rumors of the end of the pandemic. A new variant of the corona virus can arise anytime, anywhere and we can return to the same situation again. In view of this, we still need to take precautions.
