US State Department spokesperson Matthew Miller said on Tuesday that America has encouraged India and Pakistan to avoid tension and find solutions through dialogue. Asked whether the Biden administration was concerned about comments by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Defense Minister Rajnath Singh that India would not hesitate to kill terrorists in their own homeland, Miller said, "As I have said before, the United States will not get involved in this." But we encourage both India and Pakistan to avoid tension and find solutions through dialogue.

Addressing a press conference, Miller said he would never preview any sanctions action and that "the United States does not openly discuss sanctions." When Miller was asked why the US has not imposed any sanctions on India over the alleged plot to kill Khalistani terrorist Gurpatwant Singh Pannun, he said, "I am never going to preview any sanctions action but this means It's not that there is going to be any ban. But when you ask me to talk about the ban, it is something that we do not discuss openly."

Gurpatwant Singh Pannun is a terrorist designated by India and has repeatedly issued threats against India. An Indian national, Nikhil Gupta, who is currently in custody, is accused of Pannun's murder, according to a US Justice Department indictment.

The US Justice Department had earlier claimed that an Indian government employee, whose identity was not revealed, had allegedly recruited Gupta to hire a hitman to assassinate Pannun, who was foiled by US authorities. Let us tell you, last year India had formed a committee to investigate the allegations of foiled murder conspiracy.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi had said on April 11 that in the last 10 years under the BJP government, "terrorists have been killed on their own soil". Addressing a rally in Rishikesh, Uttarakhand, PM Modi talked about important decisions taken by his government and he emphasized that Article 370 was removed from Jammu and Kashmir under the NDA regime.

PM Modi had said, "Today there is a strong government in the country. In this strong Modi government, terrorists are killed by entering their homes. The Indian Tricolor has become a guarantee of security even in the war zone. After 7 decades, Article 370 was abrogated in Jammu. -Removed from Kashmir and brought law on triple talaq. It was our strong government which ensured 33 percent reservation in Parliament and the poor of the general category also got 10 percent reservation.
