To get rid of pollution, artificial rain has been made for the first time in Pakistan. To avoid smog and pollution, artificial rain was made in 10 areas of Lahore.

Pakistan took the help of United Arab Emirates (UAE) for this purpose. UAE did not take a single penny from Pakistan for this help.

It is noteworthy that Lahore, the capital of Punjab province of neighboring country Pakistan, is one of the most polluted cities in the world.

Acting Chief Minister of Punjab Mohsin Naqvi, while addressing a press conference in Lahore, said that this experiment was conducted in 10 areas of Lahore and was successful. He said, today about 10 percent areas of Lahore received rain due to 'cloud seeding' experiments. He said at least 48 'flares' were deployed for 'cloud seeding'. Light rain was seen in 10 areas within a radius of 15 km, he said. The results of the experiment are being further evaluated.

Recently, there were reports that Pakistan can take help from China to create artificial rain, it will cost Rs 35 crore. But UAE, taking pity on Pakistan's poverty, did not take a single penny for artificial rain. Punjab Chief Minister said, not a single penny was spent for artificial rain. However, the government is ready to take any measure to deal with the smog. He expressed his gratitude to the UAE government for its help in providing artificial rain to eliminate smog in the provincial capital.

Last month, Pakistan's local media had reported that Pakistan is planning to experiment with artificial rain with the help of China in Lahore, Punjab province and the project was estimated to cost Rs 35 crore. But this artificial rain has proved to be a gift from UAE to Pakistan.
