Taliban terrorists kill 23 civilians in Kandhar of Afghanistan

Kabul: At least 23 civilians killed by terrorists in clashes which continued for two days in Kandhar province of Afghanistan. Security forces also gunned down 29 terrorists.

"Hundreds of terrorists stormed remote Nash district in an effort to capture its control but the security forces repelled the attackers, leaving 29 terrorists dead,” said sources.

Total six police men were killed while four sustained injuries during clashes. Security forces have cordoned off the area and are conducting search operations.

As per the latest figures of UN mission in Afghanistan, about 2,560 civilians were killed and 5,830 injured in clashes in the first nine months of 2016.
