Bochasanwasi Shri Akshar Purushottam Swaminarayan Sanstha (BAPS) Hindu Temple is the first traditional Hindu temple in the UAE. This temple is being discussed for a long time. In December 2023, BAPS Swami Ishwar Charandas met Prime Minister Modi and handed him an invitation, which PM Modi humbly accepted. He had also expressed his enthusiastic support for this historical temple.

This temple has been built on about 27 acres of land. According to the information, a temple has been built on an area of 13.5 acres and a parking area has been built on the remaining 13.5 acres of land. The construction work of the temple is going on since 2019. The UAE government has donated land for the BAPS temple. Actually, there are three other Hindu temples in UAE, which are present in Dubai, but the first Hindu temple is being built in Abu Dhabi. The BAPS temple will be the largest temple in the Gulf region spread over a large area with stone architecture.

BAPS Temple is built on Dubai-Abu Dhabi Sheikh Zayed Highway. About Rs 700 crore has been spent in the construction of this temple. About 18 lakh bricks have been used to build the temple. To further enhance the grandeur of the temple, marble has been used in it. This temple dedicated to Lord Swaminarayan has been constructed by an organization called BAPS. Meaning of BAPS: Bochanvasi Akshar Purushottam Swaminarayan Sanstha.

The grandeur of the temple can be gauged from its photographs. Carved and carved stones have been used to build the temple, on which statues of gods and goddesses have been carved. This temple has been built very beautifully. BAPS temple is very grand and huge, a glimpse of Akshardham temple of Delhi can be seen in it.
