Albany: The next time if someone tells you that playing video games for long time can make you zombie, kindly ignore because researchers have found playing action video games like Call of Duty good for the functioning of the brain and helpful in improving the brainpower .

A research team from the University of Rochester claims that our brain always try to predict what is going to happen next and as we grow up we start developing mental templates which makes us curious about the very next moment of our life.

The researchers wanted to figure out that the people playing these kind of action games are actually better in creating these mental templates or not. They created two groups of people, one group was made to play intense game like Call of Duty , Unreal Tournament etc and other group played slower paced games like The Sims.

To check their I Q level they were given a pattern recognition tests. The result of this test is definitely going to surprise you as the group who played Call of Duty were much better then the group who played The sims.
