Ranil Wickremesinghe sworn-in as Prime Minister of Sri Lanka

Ranil Wickremesinghe, on Sunday, has been sworn in as the Prime Minister of Sri Lanka by President Maithripala Sirisena. He has been replaced by Mahinda Rajapaksa who resigned yesterday after failing to garner majority in Parliament.

Colombo: Ranil Wickremesinghe, on Sunday, has been sworn in as the Prime Minister of Sri Lanka by President Maithripala Sirisena.

He has been replaced by Mahinda Rajapaksa who resigned yesterday after failing to garner majority in Parliament.

Making a record in Sri Lanka, Ranil Wickremesinghe has been sworn in as PM for the fifth time.

It is to be mentioned that the cabinet of ministers will be sworn in tomorrow.
