Russian President Vladimir Putin will be traveling out of the country for the first after issuance of the arrest warrant against him by the International Court of Justice over alleged kidnappings of Ukrainian children.

Putin however will not be part of the G 20 summit. He will be traveling to China in October this year.

According to a report of Bloomberg, Putin is ready to go to China for the Belt and Road Forum later this year. The Kremlin is preparing for Putin's visit to China after the Russian president accepted Chinese President Xi Jinping's invitation to attend the summit, Bloomberg reported.

Putin has not crossed the Russian borders after issuance of the arrest warrant. He did not attend the BRICS summit in South Africa earlier after the latter said that it faced a dilemma over executing the warrant. South Africa is a signatory to the ICJ treaty.

According to media reports, Putin will not be the part of G-20 summit this year even if India is not the signatory on ICC. Putin has only travelled to neighbouring former Soviet Union countries and Iran since the war began in February 2022. Putin had however registered his presence in China in February 2022 before attacking on Kiev. On the other hand, Xi Jinping had visited Moscow in March this year.

According to the sources, Putin is ready to visit only those countries where he will be safe and China is one of them.
