There will be a week-long festival-like celebration in the temples of America across the seven seas regarding the consecration of life in the Ram temple in Ayodhya on January 22.

The festivities will begin on January 15 and conclude with the live telecast of the inauguration of the Ram temple from Ayodhya on the night of January 21-22. When the temple is inaugurated in Ayodhya, it will be night in America.

According to Tejal Shah, an official of the Hindu Temple Empowerment Council (HMEC), an organization representing Hindu temples in America, preparations are underway for a week-long festival in the temples of North America.

She said, "the temple of our dreams in Ayodhya is coming true after centuries of waiting and struggle. Every Hindu in America and Canada is eagerly waiting for the inauguration of Ram Temple. We will all join virtually to celebrate the death anniversary of Lord Shri Ram. The Hindu Temple Empowerment Council is the apex body of more than 1,100 Hindu temples in the United States."

In the US, the celebrations will begin on January 15 with priests chanting Ram Naam Sankirtan. Many temples have registered to participate in Sankirtan chanting. After this, Atlanta artist Vinod Krishnan will sing the hymns of Lord Ram. About 1,100 temples in America will be illuminated by lighting lamps on January 21. Prasad will be distributed in these temples after the live telecast of the inauguration.

Hindu Temple Empowerment Council has prepared a mobile exhibition named 'Ramayana Around the World' to commemorate the consecration and inauguration of the temple at Shri Ram Janmabhoomi in Ayodhya. In this, the importance of Shri Ram and Ramayana has been shown across the world through 26 posters. The exhibition will be taken to temples and local community centers for devotees to view.
