Nepal PM Prachanda likely to visit New Delhi ahead of Beijing

Kathmandu: Unlike the previous time, Prachanda is likely to pay a visit to India as his first official foreign destination after becoming the Prime Minister of Nepal.

It may be mentioned that the Maoist chief was elected to the top post by the lawmakers for the second time in August, 2016. Earlier, he chose China as his first foreign destination and attended the Olympics in Beijing after taking over the reins as Nepal’s premier in 2008.

KP Sharma Oli, the predecessor of Prachanda, had also visited India in his first official foreign trip. It was, however, speculated by the majority of people that the leader might visit Beijing ahead of New Delhi.
