Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who was on a two-day visit to Abu Dhabi, will inaugurate the Bochasanwasi Shri Akshar Purushottam Swaminarayan Sanstha (BAPS) temple in the Gulf nation on Wednesday.

It would be the first stone temple dedicated to the Hindu community in Abu Dhabi. In fact, in December, PM Modi And BAPS Swami Ishwar Charandas went to the Prime Minister's residence and met him and handed him an invitation, which the PM politely accepted. Along with this, he had also expressed his enthusiastic support for this historical temple. PM Modi will also address the gathering of global leaders at the World Government Summit in Dubai today. Along with this, he will also inaugurate Bharat Mart.

PM Modi, who arrived in UAE on Tuesday, said in his inaugural statement that the BAPS temple in Abu Dhabi is an example of the President's affinity towards India and his vision for the bright future of the UAE. Let us tell you that the BAPS temple located in Abu Murikhah near Al Rahba on the Dubai-Abu Dhabi Sheikh Zayed Highway has been constructed in an area of about 27 acres, its construction work is going on since 2019. The land for the temple was donated by the UAE government.

PM Modi said, "The construction of BAPS temple would not have been possible without your support." Along with this, PM Modi recalled that in his first meeting with President Sheikh Mohammed, he had only talked about land for the temple and how he had immediately responded. The PM said that this kind of trust and love in itself shows the strength of our special relationship.

The BAPS temple in UAE will be inaugurated three weeks after the Ram Mandir Pran Pratishtha ceremony in Ayodhya on January 22. There are three other Hindu temples in UAE, which are in Dubai.
