New Delhi: For the first time since the Corona pandemic, the leaders of the world's economic superpowers sat face to face for the summit. Many important global issues are on the agenda of this conference being held in Rome, including climate change, the corona pandemic, economic recovery and the global minimum corporate tax.

During this, PM Modi mentioned the Corona pandemic and India's efforts in dealing with it. Along with this, he also gave the mantra of One Earth One Health in the conference.

PM Modi raised the issue of corona and health:

PM Modi tweeted, "Today's proceedings at the G20 were comprehensive and productive. On the vision of 'One Earth, One Health', I spoke about India's contribution to the global fight against COVID-19, advancing innovation in healthcare, Highlighting issues such as the need for a resilient global supply chain and leveraging technology.

Jaishankar meets US Secretary of State:

On the sidelines of the G20, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar met US Secretary of State Antony Blinken in Rome. The Secretary of State tweeted, "Had a very good meeting with the US Secretary of State. There was extensive discussion on issues related to our partnership. Updated each other on important regional concerns."


Foreign Secretary Harsh Vardhan Shringla said there was a personal meeting between Prime Minister Modi and Pope Francis. During this, many issues were discussed which included the covid pandemic, future preparedness for the health sector in India, climate change etc. The two were supposed to meet for 20 minutes, but it lasted an hour. Pope Francis also accepted PM Modi's invitation to visit India.

He told PM Modi, you have given me a wonderful gift. I am looking forward to visit India. Shringla said that as far as PM Modi's meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron is concerned, there was a mention of aucus but it was not a major topic. There was no discussion on the quad during this time.

Let us tell you that most of the heads of state who come to Rome will leave for Glasgow as soon as the G-20 talks are over. On the eve of the meeting, UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres warned of the failure of the Glasgow meeting due to weak commitments of the more polluting nations. At the same time, he also called on the G-20 countries to overcome dangerous doubts on mutual and developing countries.
