Pathankot terror attack mastermind killed in Pakistan

Pathankot terror attack mastermind Shahid Latif was shot dead in Pakistan by unidentified assailants on Wednesday.

Shahid Latif was the mastermind of the Pathankot attack in 2016 and he had conspired to attack Indian soldiers. Shahid was also included in the list of most wanted terrorists of the National Investigating Agency (NIA) and was a dreaded terrorist of Jaish-e-Muhammad.

According to the media reports Latif was murdered in Pakistan on Wednesday.

Shot by unknown assailants:

Shahid was shot dead by unknown assailants. The reasons behind his murder and the killers have not been revealed yet. According to the information, Shahid was shot several times by unknown assailants in Sialkot, Pakistan. He died on the spot before he could be rushed to the hospital.

Interpol had issued red corner notice:

The Interpol had also issued a Red Corner Notice against terrorist Latif. It was only on the request of NIA that Interpol had issued a Red Corner Notice against Latif. According to Red Corner Notice, intelligence agencies around the world are alerted against any terrorist and orders are given to arrest him as soon as he is found.

Latif had spent 16 years in jail in India:

Terrorist Latif had also spent time in jail in India. Latif was arrested in India in 1994. After spending 16 years in jail, Latif was released and sent to Pakistan. Apart from the Pathankot attack, Latif was also an accused in the hijacking of an Indian Airlines flight.
