Saudi Arabia has given a big blow to Pakistan on Kashmir issue. Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud has described Kashmir as a 'bilateral issue' between India and Pakistan. This statement of the Crown Prince (Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud) came in a joint statement during the visit of Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif to Riyadh. Not only this, he has also said that India and Pakistan will have to resolve this issue through dialogue. Now this is being considered as a huge insult to Pakistan because Saudi has impartially exposed Pakistan PM Shahbaz Sharif's move on his favorite issue.

It is worth noting that till now Pakistan has been singing the praises of referendum under the auspices of the United Nations on the Kashmir issue. But, India supports bilateral talks on this issue from the beginning. However, diplomatic relations between India and Pakistan have been at a low level for the last several years due to terrorism.

Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif could not get Arab support on the Kashmir issue, but Arabs have definitely consoled him by congratulating him on being elected as the new PM.

Regarding Pakistan, Saudi Arabia said that “HRH Crown Prince met the Prime Minister of Pakistan. Apart from discussing regional and international developments, they reviewed the historical relations between the two countries, bilateral cooperation and opportunities for further development in various fields.”
