Washington: Following Russia’s alleged hacking during the 2016 US Presidential elections, US President Barack Obama has taken a stern step by expelling 35 Russian diplomats from United States. The country has closed two Russian establishments.

US gave 72 hours to Russian diplomats on Thursday in order to leave the country with families. US will close General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation (GRU) and Federal Security Service (FSB) of Russian intelligence.

Calling US sanctions as ungrounded, Russia, in retaliation, is set to expel 35 US diplomats.

Earlier, several e-mails having embarrassing information of Democrats were leaked, including emails of Hilary Clinton’s campaign manager.
