New Delhi: North Korean dictator Kim Jong-un seems to be very upset these days due to the fear of rebellion. Pop music from neighboring South Korea has taken away their sleepless nights and daytime rest. Disturbed by this, dictator Kim Jong Un has openly threatened the fans of K-pop.

Kim Jong Un calls Pop Music a cancer:

He said that K-pop is dangerous like a cancer. If someone in North Korea is caught listening to this or watching the drama of South Korea, then he will be imprisoned for 15 years in the labor camp.

Kim Jong-un said in his decree that South Korea's music, TV serials and films are corrupting the dress, hairstyle, language and behavior of the youth of our country. In December itself, a related law was introduced, in which watching any South Korean entertainment can be punished with 15 years in labor camp.

North Koreans Punishment:

Earlier this maximum punishment was only 5 years. Not only this, there is a provision for the death penalty if caught, people involved in smuggling pen drives of entertainment material related to South Korea.

Korean pop of South Korea is colloquially known as K-pop. Based mainly on Western music, K-pop now has many dance moves and music styles. For this reason, this pop music of South Korea will get crazy fans all over the world.

South Korean music, TV shows and movies are popular all over the world. This includes North Korea buried under the burden of dictatorship. North Korean people also like K-pop very much due to the similarity in language, food and culture etc. The government decides the cultural life of the people in North Korea. That is why Kim Jong Un has issued this threatening order seeing the growing South Korean culture in North Korea.
