New Delhi: New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern on Thursday temporarily halted the arrival of all travelers from India. New Zealand has suspended the entry of all passengers until 28 April. This decision of New Zealand has come at a time when more than 1 lakh cases of corona infection have started coming in the country.

According to the number of corona infects, India is the third most affected country in the world.

The highest number of cases in the world are coming to India every day. The recovery in India is the highest in the world after America. In the case of death, India is followed by America, Brazil and Mexico.

"I want to emphasize that while arrivals of Covid from India has prompted this measure, we are looking at how we manage high risk points of departure generally. This is not a country specific risk assessment...," Ardern added.

The campaign to get Corona vaccine started in the country on 16 January. As of 7 April, 8 crore 70 lakh corona doses have been given across the country. There were 33 lakh 37 thousand vaccines last day. The campaign to give the second dose of vaccine started on 13 February. From April 1, all people above 45 years of age are being vaccinated.
