Escalating Tensions: US Approves Military Aid to Israel Amidst Gaza Concerns

Retaliatory action by the Jewish country continues amid the ongoing war between Israel and Gaza. Meanwhile, while continuing the attacks, Israel has appealed to the local people of the Gaza Strip to share actionable information about the places where Hamas is keeping Israeli hostages. The Israeli military offered financial assistance, confidentiality and security to anyone who provided information leading to the rescue of the hostages.

Israeli attacks are causing massive destruction in Gaza. Gaza officials have said that more than 700 people have been killed in Gaza in the last twenty-four hours.

Hamas has started releasing Israeli hostages. After the release of two American women on Saturday, two other Israeli women were also released on Monday. According to media reports, the terrorist group may soon release 50 more hostages.

The Israeli army, which is fighting a war on multiple fronts, said on Wednesday that it attacked military infrastructure in Syria in response to attacks carried out earlier on Tuesday. According to the report of news agency Reuters, the Israeli army said that in an overnight raid in the West Bank, a group of Palestinians fired on security forces, after which they were targeted by drones. Doctors said that two Palestinians have been killed.

News agency AFP quoted Jerusalem Post as saying that the IDF announced on Tuesday that soldiers deployed on the country's southern border are ready to attack Gaza. IDF Chief of Staff Lieutenant General Harzi Halevi said, "I want to be clear, we are ready to attack."

In addition to airstrikes on Gaza, Israel is also threatening to launch a ground attack on the Strip, although it has not yet announced a timeline for the attack. The chief of staff said the IDF is in the process of determining with Israeli leaders the "exact timing" of a ground attack on Gaza.

PM Benjamin Netanyahu had warned that Israel has only one task – to crush Hamas. He said that this will not stop until the terrorist group is completely destroyed. “With fighters on the ground, we have only one task – to crush Hamas, and we will not stop until we get the job done,” the PM said.

According to Israeli officials, Hamas terrorists attacked Israel from the Gaza Strip on October 7, killing about 1,400 people and taking more than 220 hostage.

Hamas' Health Ministry said that more than 5,700 Palestinians have been killed in the Gaza Strip area in retaliatory Israeli bombardment.
