The Indri Diwali Collector's Edition 2023 received the 'Double Gold Best in Show' award at one of the world's largest whisky-tasting competitions, in which more than 100 varieties of whisky from around the world compete every year.

A whisky made in India has won the title of being the best whisky in the world. Whisky of the World has chosen this Indian whisky brand as the world's best whisky.

The Indri Diwali Collector's Edition 2023 received the 'Double Gold Best in Show' award at one of the world's largest whisky-tasting competitions, in which more than 100 varieties of whisky from around the world compete every year.

According to media reports, Whisky of the World Awards are given after several blind testing. A panel of some of the top taste makers and influencers in the alco-web industry declares one whisky in every category as the best whisky.

And in this competition, the Indian peated category of whisky has beaten hundreds of international brands including American single malt, Scotch whisky, Bourbons, Canadian whisky, Australian single malt and British single malt.

Indri, the producer of this whisky said in a blog post, "Indri has made its place in the best whisky worldwide. The Indri Diwali Collector's Edition 2023 has been awarded the Best in Show, Double Gold in the world's prestigious whisky. This achievement is a testimony to the quality and growing popularity of Indian single malt across the world".

The Indri Diwali Collector's Edition 2023 is a peated Indian single malt made of six-raw barley, distilled in traditional copper utensils crafted in India. It has been carefully matured in PX Sherry Cask for quite a long time amidst the subtropical climate of North India. With innumerable flavours like candied dried fruits, toasted nuts, micro spices, oak, bittersweet chocolate along with smoke, its taste and aroma captivates you", he said.
