India grants visa to five members of JIT of Pakistan

New Delhi: The Indian government on Friday issued visas to five member Joint Investigation Team (JIT) of Pakitan.

The team will reach India on Sunday to probe the Pathankot terrorist attack, which is believed to be the handiwork of terrorists from Pakistan.

The team comprises of Punjab Counter Terrorism Department Officer Muhammad Tahir Rai, ISI’s Lt Col Tanvir Ahmed, Pakistan Army Intelligence Lt Col Irfan Mirza, Gujaranwala Investigation officer Shahid Tanveer and Pakistan Counter Terrorism Department Officer Muhammad Tahir Rai.

The team is scheduled to begin its probe from Monday.. The government has allowed limited access to the Pakistani team at the Indian Air Force base in Pathankot
