Islamabad: A judicial commission appointed by an anti-terrorism court of Pakistan will visit Karachi for the inspection of a boat used by 10 militants of the country to reach India for launching the 2008 Mumbai attacks.

The commission will be travelling to the Pakistani city on October 6 next to examine the boat called Al-Fouz and also record the statement of a witness who saw it being seized at the Shipyard of Karachi.

According to the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), as many as three boats were used by the Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorists to reach Mumbai. The boat is currently in the custody of Pakistani authorities in the port city of Karachi, from where the militants armed with hand grenades and AK-47 rifles left for Mumbai.

It may be recalled that the terror outfit’s members hijacked another boat in their journey killing four of its crew members. Subsequently, they forced the captain of the vessel to take them to the Indian shores and killed him as well after reaching the coast of Mumbai.
