Lhasa: An earthquake of magnitude 5.8 hit Xigaze city in Tibet autonomous region early on Monday. No casualties have been reported.

Some cracks were found on rural houses and there have been reports of damages to some livestock sheds in the county. The conditions of remote villages were still not available.

The epicentre was Xaitongmoin county as the quake struck at a depth of 8 km.
