Cuban-Americans celebrate Fidel Castro's death in Miami

Miami: Cuban-Americans, in huge numbers, came out on Miami roads early on Saturday shouting "Cuba Libre!" and "Freedom! Freedom!" to celebrate the death of their nemesis Fidel Castro.

People, who were exiled by Havana's communist rule, celebrated the death of Castro by honking horns, banging on pots and drums and dancing. They were seen waiving Cuban flags in joy of communal euphoria.

Cuban President Raul Castro, brother of Fidel Castro, confirmed his death on national television on Friday midnight.

The news spread like jungle-fire in Miami which has the highest concentration of Cuban-Americans in the US.

Being extremely delighted, young revelers streamed the celebrations live on Facebook, posted pictures on Instagram and broadcasted the fervor among people on FaceTime and Skype to their friends and relatives.

Miami neighborhoods, Little Havana and Hialeah, where many Cuban exiled came and settled, saw people dancing, hugging each other and exchanging comments like "it took too long" and "now only Raul is remaining".

These exiled people have been crying "Cuba Libre" ever since Castro brothers took over Cuba in 1959. Around two million Cubans are settled in the United States and nearly 70 percent of them live in Florida.
