A massive fire in the forests in British Columbia and Alberta provinces in Canada has resulted in the death of a large number of animals and birds and displaced thousands of people. This is the biggest fire in the country which has spread over an area about 33 thousand square kilometers. The starting place of the fire was Canadian provinces of British Columbia and Alberta.

According to the officials’ 33 thousand people had to be shifted to safer places as the fire continued to spread. An unusually hot season was stated to be the cause behind the fire.

The production of oil and gas had to be stopped and several factories have been closed. According to the Canadian National Fire database more than 3.8 Million hectares of the country’s forests have come into the fire which is almost twice in the size of New Jersey.

According to the Canadian Wildland Fire Information System 413 places are burning in the county in which 249 places are out of control.

Several states in the neighbouring USA have also been affected and blanketed by a thick smoke arising out of the burning woods. New York, Pennsylvania and New Jersey have been badly affected. Nine crore people in 16 regions in America have been affected. Most of the smoke is coming from Quebec.

The Prime Minister Justin Trudeau of Canada said that country is currently suffering from its worst forest fire. To come out from this problem, Joe Biden, President of America has assured him to help in all possible ways.

Reason behind the fire:

Canada was battling with the Climate change problem. Experts believe that scorching heat prevailing in May has played an important role in the fire. Organic matter and plants dried because of the heat and wind is helping to spread this. However, factors such as snowfall this winter, rapid deforestation and human error have also contributed into it.

How America is being affected:

The forest fire in Canada is also affecting America. Air quality has worsened in America in last week due to the fire. The smock entered from the South and has spread in almost North’s places. Now York, city of America has deteriorated. The data shows that pollution level has become highest in the metropolitan cities of America in across the world.
