Cases of H9N2 are spreading rapidly among children in China. Besides, many people are also suffering from respiratory diseases.

In such a situation, the doctors have advised people to be cautious and take care of cleanliness. They said that if anyone has respiratory disease or infection, he should be careful and try to maintain distance from other people. However, no such case has come to light in India yet. Therefore there is no need to panic.

The doctors advised the people to wear N95 and N99 masks while going out and also wash their hands from time to time.

Talking about the precautions to be taken in children, the doctors said if children are going to school, then take special care that they do not have cough, cold, fever or any other symptoms.

A Delhi based doctor said that due to Covid and the strict lockdown, the immunity of the general population and children has been affected, resulting in the cases increasing again.

He said, "Based on the limited information available, some experts have reported an increase in infection in children. According to one expert, the very stringent lockdowns we saw in China due to Covid. Due to this, the immunity of children has reduced. This has greatly affected the general population and the children there and this surge in cases is being seen due to low immunity."

The World Health Organization has requested detailed information from China on the increase in respiratory diseases and pneumonia among children in the country, citing a similar situation as of January 5, 2020, before the pandemic, in relation to COVID-19 .

The experts have also said that there is no need to worry about this disease in India, because its symptoms have not been seen in the country yet.
