Media reports have claimed that the ongoing war between Israel and Hamas might come to a temporary halt and the hostages could be released.

According to the reports, a temporary agreement has been reached between Israel, America and Hamas to release dozens of hostages.

Under this agreement, fighting in Gaza will stop for the next five days. The reports claimed that senior officials of Israel, Hamas and USA have confirmed such an agreement.

Reports said that a six-page agreement has been signed under this deal. Under this agreement, both sides will stop fighting for the next five days. Meanwhile, 50 or more hostages will be released every 24 hours.

Hamas claimed on October 7 that it had captured 240 hostages from Israel. No comment has been made yet by the White House or the Israeli PM regarding this agreement. It is noteworthy that according to the people who are aware of this agreement, the release of hostages may start in the next few days.

Amidst all this, the ongoing war between Israel and Gaza is still not stopping. Israel, which has vowed to end the war it started with Hamas by attacking Israel, is continuously targeting the people of Gaza Strip. More than 80 people were killed in twin attacks on a refugee camp in northern Gaza on Saturday, a Hamas health official said. The refugee camp that was targeted, which also included a UN school, was being used as a shelter for people displaced by the Israel-Hamas war.

A separate attack Saturday on another building in the Jabaliya camp killed 32 people from the same family, including 19 children, a Hamas official said. Without mentioning the attacks, the Israeli military said "an incident in the Jabaliya area" was being reviewed.

According to UN figures, the six-week war has displaced about 1.6 million people within the Gaza Strip. UN humanitarian chief Martin Griffiths condemned the killing of "children, women and men." "Shelters are a place for safety," he wrote in a post on Twitter. "Civilians cannot bear this any longer, nor should do."
