Quetta: At least 60 police trainees killed while 116 were injured when terrorists attacked a police training centre in Balochistan province of Pakistan here on Monday.

It was around 9:30 pm on Monday when two terrorists reportedly entered police training centre gunning down the guard while others entered by climbing the rear walls of centre. About 700 police trainees were present at the time of attack.

According to the reports, two terrorists, wearing explosives, blew themselves up which resulted the loss of lives.

"Two terrorists were suicide bombers while the third one was shot dead by our troops," said Major General Sher Afgan. Major General also said that terrorists belonged to Lashker-e-Jhangvi group, an Islamist militant group affiliated with al-Qaida. Terrorists were getting directions from Afghanistan, he added.

Balochistan Home Minister Sarfraz Bughti said that security forces carried out an operation against terrorists and fought valiantly. Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif condemned the terror attack.
