New Delhi: The Norwegian Nobel Committee said on Monday that 329 nominations have been received for the 2021 Nobel Peace Prize. Of these, there are 234 individuals and 95 organizations. The last date for nomination was February 1.

Nobel Prize Nominations:

The Oslo-based organization reported that this is the third highest number of Nobel Peace Prize nominations. The groups nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize include the World Health Organization for its role in combating the corona virus pandemic.

The highest number of 376 nominations for this award received in 2016. Heads of governments, nationally functioning politicians, university professors, directors of foreign policy institutions. Former Nobel laureates and members of the Norwegian Nobel Committee may file nominations for the award.

Although the Oslo-based board has not announced the nominations, the nominees may declare the names of both the nominee and the proposer. Please tell that the Nobel Committee announces its annual decision in October every year. While Shanti and other Nobel Prizes awarded on 10 December every year.

The Associated Press reported that among the candidates for the Nobel Peace Prize 2021 Belarus's exiled opposition leader Svetlana Tikhnoskaya. Two other Belarus democracy activists, Veronika Tsepalko and Maria Kolenikova. Apart from this, 'The Black Lives Matter' movement, Russian Opposition Leader Alexei Navalny, former White House Adviser Jared Kushner and Abi Berkowitz who have been in talks with West Asia for the Abraham Pact.
