New Delhi: The most contagious variant of the coronavirus 'Delta' is currently present in 135 countries around the world. The World Health Organization (WHO) gave this information and expressed apprehension about the increase in global infection soon.

Coronavirus is back again:

The WHO said in a weekly release on 3 August that cases of the beta variant have been found in 132 countries and the gamma variant in 81 countries. At the same time, cases of alpha variant have been registered in 182 countries. While 135 countries have the most infectious delta variant. The first case of infection with this variant was found in India.

The WHO report states that the trend of new cases coming across the world is showing an increase. Last week between July 26 and August 1, more than 40 lakh new cases were registered.

According to Johns Hopkins University, the global figure of infection is currently 200,152,057 and the number of deaths is 4,255,443. At the same time, 4,265,574,682 vaccine doses have been received worldwide so far. America is in the worst condition since the beginning of the pandemic. So far, the total number of infected people is 35,331,699 and the death toll is 614,803.

India is at number two in the cases of infection, so far there are a total of 31,769,132 cases. Countries with more than 3 million infection cases are Brazil (20,026,533), Russia (6,274,006), France (6,270,961), Britain (5,980,887), Turkey (5,822,487).
