Six-year-old Dalit girl raped in Ballia, condition serious

Ballia: A six year old Dalit girl was raped in a village under Ubhaon police station in Ballia district of Uttar Pradesh on Monday. The girl had gone to the village with her mother to attend a Shivratri function.

According to sources, at around 2030 hrs a youth lured the girl on the pretext of giving her food and later raped her. The girl has been admitted to a hospital where her condition is said to be serious.

Police station in charge Nanhe Ram Saroj informed that a case has been registered on a complaint of the victim's mother against an unidentified youth. Police is investigating the case.
