After Kathak, Soni is now eyeing another World Record

Varanasi: After having shattered the world record of dancing for 126 hours continuously, the Kathak Queen, as she is fondly called now, Soni Chaurasia is aiming to break another record in Sitar.

''She is contemplating to attempt the World record in playing the Sitar and she is in consultation with her family members in this regard,'' her coach Rajesh Dogra said.

Further announcements in this regard will be made only after final logistics are decided, he added.

About Soni Chaurasia:

• She broke the Kathak dance record of 123.15 hrs by dancing 126 hrs continuously.
• Soni entered the Guinness Book of Records on Sunday last.
• She has a post-graduate degree in Sitar.
• Soni learnt roller skating from Rajesh Dogra.
• Soni has won many medals in roller skating.
• Besides being a dancer, she also plays sitar and guitar.
