Bahraich: Six persons were injured in a clash between two groups of people here on Saturday following a minor dispute over a tin shade on a house.

The victim alleged that the police did not register case in this connection until they held a protest demonstration outside the police station.

The clash:

The clash took place when Ramavtar was stopped by his neighbour Salim and his supporters from covering his house with a tin shade.

Salim and his supporters also damaged the the walls of Ramavtar’s house when he refused to remove the tin shade.

What Ramavtar claimed:

Ravavtar alleges that Salim insisted on removing the shade, saying that it was out of the boundary wall of his house and was covering the road.

What police officials said:

RP Yadav, station officer, Kaiserganj police station, stated that the versions of both the parties have been recorded and police posted at the spot to avoid any other clash.

Yadav said, Gram Pradhan of the village has been asked to look into the matter and Salim has been asked to pay for the damages.
