Yogi Adityanath In Demand For Karnataka Polls With Rise In His Star Power

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath reviewed the presentation on the construction of new commissionerate and collectorate buildings in Varanasi and Gorakhpur during a high-level meeting on Wednesday. He provided essential directions and emphasized that the commissionerate offices in both cities should be iconic buildings. The designs for both commissionerate buildings should reflect the local culture.

The Chief Minister stated that to ensure the convenience of the public, all offices should be brought together in one place. The purpose of having integrated commissionerate offices is to facilitate easy monitoring of all departments. Having all offices under one roof will prevent people from wandering around. Varanasi and Gorakhpur commissionerate offices should be presented as models, which will send a positive message to the public.

He further emphasized that both buildings should be practical and utilize the required amount of space for offices. The Gorakhpur and Varanasi Development Authorities should ensure that both integrated commissionerate offices have facilities like conference halls, open offices, cubicles, and storage. Additionally, there should be provisions for banks, gyms, cafeterias, and parking in these offices. After the completion of the buildings, all offices should be shifted in an organized manner to Gorakhpur and Varanasi.

The Chief Minister directed the development authorities of both cities to keep the commercial and government offices in separate premises within the complex. He urged to speed up the construction work of twin buildings in both cities, where one building will house all government offices, while the other will be used for commercial purposes. Once the new buildings are constructed, the vacated office spaces should be monetized and put to commercial use.

He emphasized the need to expedite the entire process and sought the support of IIT BHU for the construction and design of the buildings in Varanasi. Adequate arrangements should be made for lawyers to sit in the new buildings. Proper arrangements for parking of vehicles for the public, officials, and lawyers should be made with separate entry and exit points.
