Baghpat: Voting in Baghpat starts with 'Goondaism' on Saturday when some goons forcibly tried to stop dalits from casting votes at the booth number 35 in the Baraut constituency of the district.

The lion village of the district witnessed a clash between the dalit voters of the area and the goons when the former were stopped from casting votes. A Paramilitary force officer had to interfere to avoid any big mishap.

It could be mention that apart from this a positive aspect was also seen in the same district when the Election Commission officers of Baraut constituency gave roses to the voters as a token of appreciation in order to encourage more people to vote.

Voting for three constituencies of the district namely, Chhaprauli, Baraut and Baghpat has been started and the results will be declared on March 11.
