Lucknow: The winters may stay a little longer this time as India Meteorological Department has predicted rains, thundershowers and even hailstorm in the western parts of state in next 24 hours till Friday.

As per the weatherman, the weather has taken a U-turn after a warm Wednesday and due to a western disturbance, strong winds will accompany the rains and thundershowers and at some places it might even turn into a hailstorm.

So, keeping in mind the changing moods of the weather it is advisable not to pack away your woolens yet as another bout of the winter chill is on its way. Moisture-laden winds are likely to bring back the chill early morning and in the late evening, as per the reports.

The maximum temperature on Wednesday was recorded 20 degrees Celsius while the minimum was 13.8 degrees, whereas the humidity level was 98 per cent.

Making weather more pleasant the day temperature has fallen by over 3 degrees at many places while the minimum has improved by 2.6 degrees in the past three days since Monday.

Where, Uttar Pradesh received an average of 38 mm of rain in February which might rise over the next few days, the neighbouring hill state of Uttarakhand is predicted to receive heavy snowfall over the next 48-hours till Saturday, which is likely to further decrease the temperature in Uttar Pradesh.
