Uttar Pradesh Election 2022 Phase 7 Voting Live: The Uttar Pradesh Assembly Election 2022 has reached its final stage today, on 07 March. Voting for the 7th and last phase of the UP Assembly elections started today from 7 am. In the seventh and final phase, voting is being held for 54 assembly seats in 9 districts of Purvanchal. A total of 613 candidates are in the fray in these 54 seats of Purvanchal. Today more than two crore voters will exercise their franchise.

A polling booth has been set up at Manjushree Shikshan Sansthan in Varanasi. Here the EVM machine of part number-180 is reported to be defective. Voting came to a halt after one hour of the commencement of polling. The VVPAT of booth number-115 of Rohaniya Primary School, Darekhu, Varanasi itself, got damaged. At the same time, polling started half an hour late due to the time taken to set the EVMs at booth number-114. Sector magistrate Prabhashankar Shukla said that there was a fault in the machine which has been rectified.
